Above is what's called a 'rig pose-test'. This is when someone takes the rig and does a pose to test out i's functionality.
Our Dino Hunt Riggers, Amrinder & Daria, have been doing an amazing job and we're about to start animation testing! Shots are being laid-out and prepped to be distributed to the animation team.
Exciting times. ^___^
These characters are for a 30-second project the interns are doing at Zoic currently. I didn't design them, Alex Isaksson did. :) I just colored them prior to the formal presentation pitch we did on Wednesday night. I will be modeling them though. More soon to come! Very excited.
On Halloween night got to go to a great figure drawing workshop with Reem and Gio at The Drawing Club.
The model was exceptional and I'm looking forward to finding a scanner so I can post a few other drawings.
This is a video made by Visual Ink Creative back in March that I did a fair amount of illustration for.
The client was the Bill & Melinda Gates foundation for the 'Saving Lives at Birth' project. I love working with all of the folks over at V.I. They're always a fantastic team and it's nice to work on content that has such a great message.
Realized this evening that I'd sat in front of a computer last night, all today, and will be this evening. To decompress a bit after work had a nice long dinner at Yuko Kitchen and just doodled on some napkins. They had fantastic music on that reminded me of Miyazaki's films. Kind of like a whimsical jazz with a lot of atmosphere. ^__^
This was an amazing old lady (maybe 70) that pulled up in her camry next to me at a stoplight.
This past weekend Amrinder, Frank, and I headed back up to Tahoe to take images for the various locations and additional prop-assets. Amrinder wanted to test out a bit of photogrammetry with Frank and I. Next time we'll definitely have to make sure Amrinder is in the shot.
